Dr. Ferrill is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia. She received her bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology with minors in both Nutrition and Chemistry at the University of Miami. She then continued on to medical school at Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Ferrill did her residency in OBGYN at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania. During residency, she worked with all patients from both private practices and the residency practice of underserved women. She enjoyed having the opportunity to mentor the residents under her and collaborate with all of the sub-specialty physicians. Dr. Ferrill had the opportunity to hone her surgical skills working closely with both general practitioners as well as Urogynecologists and GYN Oncologists. This is her first year in private practice and she is very excited to expand her career and explore all the different facets of being an OBGYN.
Dr. Ferrill's interests include aspects of both obstetrics and gynecology. She prides herself in listening to the patient's needs and providing patient-centered care. She believes a patient should be involved in all aspects of their care after thorough counseling from the provider. High risk obstetrics was robust during her residency and she became very comfortable treating complex patients. Dr. Ferrill loves taking care of patient's in labor and can perform operative vaginal deliveries; she is very active in labor management and always aims for vaginal deliveries. She is very much involved with family planning, from pre-conception counseling to contraceptive management. She enjoys minimally invasive surgery, specifically robotics, which has a quicker and easier recovery process for the patient.
Dr. Ferrill currently lives in Philadelphia and loves city life. She enjoys exploring the city and trying new restaurants. On the weekends, she likes to bike or walk Kelly Drive and MLK Blvd. She does her best to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Hockey has been a passion in her family since she was a child; her father and brother still place. Her family still lives close by and she enjoys spending time with them.
